- Penne - Best with tomato sauces with veggies or meat, they nestle inside the tubes. 
- Macaroni - Best with creamy sauces which are captured by all the crevices.   
- Fusilli - Best with chunky tomato sauces, which cling to the corkscrews. 
- Shells - Best with sauces with veggies or meat chopped to similar size as the pasta. 
- Spaghetti - Best with thicker  tomato or cream based sauces that are full boiled, not delicate. 
- Farfalle - Best with thick, creamy sauce or even in pasta salad.
